In order to make this program possible, we will need donations of instruments or funds to purchase instruments to loan to students. Chatham County JAM is being created in order to give students who might not otherwise have access to music classes opportunities to participate in the music of their heritage. We operate largely on donations from individuals and philanthropic funds. All programs are associated with either a 501c3 organization, a school system or both. Although most programs do charge fees to students these fees are largely "tokens" aimed at establishing family commitment. Many of our students do not have the means to pay the true cost of program participation. Donations are essential to the continuation of our programs.
